Again, bandits invade Maku’s home, injure three guards

Maku

Bandits, at the weekend, invaded the residence of former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, leaving three security guards seriously injured.

The bandits, who were shooting in the air to scare people, reportedly forced their way into Maku’s Ola house in Akwanga about 7.50pm on Friday.

According to one of the injured guards, the attackers, who were speaking Hausa, banged the entry gate to the house and started shooting when they were denied entry.

“They ordered me to open the entrance gate. When I resisted because I did not know who they were, they started shooting and jumped the fence into the compound,” the guard said.

When contacted, the former minister said it was the third time in one month his residence would be attacked by bandits.
