Three persons were reportedly crushed to death in an auto crash involving a cement-laden truck at Pako Bus Stop, Isolo.

The Guardian learnt that a tricyclist and two passengers were killed in the incident, which happened at about 2:00 p.m.

According to eyewitnesses, the brake of the vehicle, which was on its way to Ikotun, Lagos, failed around the Isolo General Hospital area, causing the driver to lose control and ram into vehicles.

The crash involved a minibus, three tricycles, one Danfo bus, and a truck loaded with biscuits.

While one of the victims died immediately, the others died minutes later.

The truck driver was reportedly taken into police custody, while the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) towed the vehicle off the road to ease the flow of traffic.

The remains of the victims have been deposited at the Isolo General Hospital, Lagos.
